Located in the state of Hidalgo, this canyon is a natural wonderland full of waterfalls, caves, a thermal river and natural mineral hot springs.
You hear the sounds of water all around you as the magnificent waterfalls flow into countless warm, healing, mineral pools!
A giant “Mother Cave'' invites you to the profound experience of being inside the womb of Mother Earth.
Spend hours soaking in thermal, body temperature waters, day or night. Take in the beautiful views all day long and star-gaze through the night.
We are on the less populated side of the Tolantango River. This remote location offers breathtaking natural beauty and simple yet comfortable rooms with rustic charm. Our retreat is for the adventurous traveler who cherishes being immersed in nature. Single or double rooms, while simple, offer hot showers, flushing toilets and comfortable beds.
We will be at an altitude of about 4000 feet. To explore the various grottos and thermal pools involves walking up and down hillside stairs. Some of the areas offer accessibility options, but many do not. Please consider this if you have difficulty walking.
GETTING THERE:
Arriving at this hidden paradise takes commitment and effort. For nature lovers, hot springs enthusiasts, waterfall chasers, and qigong aficionados, it is a highly worthwhile pilgrimage! This unforgettable landscape rewards those who find their way to its extraordinary beauty.
To make it easier, we have chartered transportation to and from Mexico City leaving on Monday Feb 20th at 9am, returning on Saturday, Feb 25th in the late afternoon. Transportation is $50 each way.
If you are adventurous and prefer to coordinate your own transportation, plan to do so during daylight hours. More information will be sent upon registration.
